GOVERNOR ALEXANDER GUSEV VISITED THE SUBDIVISION OF "MOLVEST" COMPANY - "ECOKORM” LLC DURING HIS WORKING VISIT ON NOVEMBER 2.
The plant produces vitamin-herbal meal from alfalfa, which is considered one of the most useful forage crops for animals.
Alexander Gusev was narrated that the plant also produced high-protein concentrate from alfalfa. There are only two such plants in the world, and one of them is in Voronezh region.
The plant for drying and granulating alfalfa (and recently it began to granulate the pulp, remaining from sugar beet processing), opened in 2017. Initially, all feed was produced for Molvest livestock.
– Within nine months of 2018 our plant produced more than 35 thousand tons of compound feed. Molvest company plans to keep up to 7 thousand heads of cattle in Anninsky district. Such herd will require up to 62 tons of compound feed daily. The capacity of “EcoForm” will be enough both for domestic demand in feed and for export. With the current production volumes we are able to export products to Asia and Arab countries, – explained Vladimir Manuylov, General Director of “EcoKorm” LLC.
The company uses the best alfalfa varieties in the world. The acreage is about 1.2 thousand hectares. Mowing is so gentle that important leaves and buds of the crop are preserved – they contain maximum amount of protein. “EcoKorm” employees fully control the process from planting alfalfa to the production of pellets and bales. Everything is made at one site, under close supervision. In granules and bales up to 95% of alfalfa nutrients are preserved. Adding alfalfa to animal feed improves the quality of milk, eggs, and meat.
– The quality of milk is closely linked to the feed. If the animals are fed with high-quality compound feed, then all the essential elements for human life will be found in milk, – said the State Duma deputy, curator of the dairy cluster in Voronezh region Arkady Ponomarev during a tour around the plant.
The governor was shown the equipment of the plant, which allows raw materials reception, cleaning, crushing, mixing with mineral additives and shipping by trucks.
– Is the equipment Russian? – Alexander Gusev asked.
– The equipment here is both Russian, manufactured by Voronezhselmash, and foreign – by the French company RMTC S.A.R.L. Its maximum capacity is up to 10 tons of feed per hour, – updated Anatoly Losev, General Director of “Molvest”.
Alfalfa is considered one of the most valuable animal feed crops. The feed is highly digestible and has a positive impact on animal health and key performance indicators. For example, milk yield increases by 12%, the weight gain of young rabbits and cattle – up to 15%, the egg production of birds – by 15%. At the same time, feed costs are reduced by up to 10 and even up to 20%.
“Thanks to the unique technology of dehydration, the plant saves maximum of useful elements: protein, carotene, fiber, amino acids,” – explained Anatoly Losev, General Director of “Molvest”.
Granules are more convenient for feeding small animals both at compound feed factories and in private farms. The standard size is 6 and 8 mm, but at the request of the customer, the plant can produce granules from 4 to 16 mm. Alfalfa in bales is more suitable for cattle and horses. The size of a bale is 0.8 m in height, 1.2 m in width, and the length can vary.
The Head of the region was shown the “EcoKorm” laboratory, equipped with all the necessary modern equipment. Here the quality of raw materials and the resulting juicy and concentrated feed is monitored. Similar services are also provided to other companies that do not have their own laboratories.
Governor Alexander Gusev cited “EkoKorm” LLC as an example of one of the few deep processing enterprises in Voronezh Region.
– Many thanks to “Molvest” company for the enterprise that has been built. This direction in the processing of plant crops is very important for the region – this is a whole sub-sector for agriculture. These are high-paying jobs and sophisticated technologies. Today we have seen how an operator at the plant was passionate about his work. The governor asked him a question, and he asked to wait, because his workflow comes first. And this is right, because he has a commitment, – said Alexander Gusev.
In addition to the production line, a warehouse for grain and oilseeds is located on the territory of the plant, which allows simultaneously storing more than 15 thousand tons of products. The total cost of the project for feed production, processing and storage is 1.3 billion rubles.
